Time to Check Your Smoke Alarms?

Don’t risk it—replace outdated detectors.

Hi, Keith here from KH Electrical in Pocklington. Did you know that smoke alarms have a 10-year lifespan? After that, they may no longer work reliably when you need them most.

The only way to be certain of the expiry date is to remove the alarm and check the label—something best done by a qualified electrician. If your alarms are over 10 years old, it’s time to replace them for your safety and peace of mind.

Need help checking or replacing yours? I’m happy to help.
