Recent Job Completed in Pocklington – Shower Room Extractor Fan Installation

This week I completed a full extractor fan installation in a shower room in Pocklington, all completed in one day with no mess and a very happy customer.

The property was suffering from excess steam and condensation in the shower room, which can quickly lead to mould, damp issues, and damage to paintwork and plaster if left unresolved. The solution was to install a new timer extractor fan, correctly sized and installed to meet current electrical regulations.

Scope of Works

The job included:

Careful core drilling through a double cavity wall to allow proper external ventilation

Supply and installation of a timer extractor fan, ideal for shower rooms and bathrooms

Neat internal wiring using white surface trunking, kept tight to the ceiling and corners for a clean, professional finish

External termination to allow moist air to be expelled safely outside

Full testing of the circuit on completion

Issue of an NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificate for peace of mind and compliance

All work was completed efficiently, with dust kept to an absolute minimum and the area left clean and tidy once finished.

The Result

The new extractor fan now effectively removes steam and moisture from the shower room, helping to:

Reduce condensation

Prevent mould growth

Protect walls, ceilings, and fittings

Improve overall air quality

The customer was extremely pleased with both the result and the tidy appearance of the surface trunking, which blends in neatly and looks smart and professional.
